Some things should never change like the California pizza or Philly cheese steaks in North America. The chili cheeseburgers at Tommy’s Original Fat Burgers in Los Angeles, and Pink’s which is famed for those awesome chili dogs that are full of heart stopping cholesterol and trans fats. Free range wild chicken served up at Kururu's in downtown Nagoya ! Another name would be ko-chin. This is perhaps the most well-known local specialty from this part of Japan. read more »

1) Good hot spring source is key: In this picture you can see a milky colored hot spring which is repudiated for its healing properties. For me, milky colored water is stronger and more mineral rich than most hot springs. read more »

Osaka is truly home of the best octopus. There are so many wonder locally made delicacies called "Taki Yaki." Before coming to Japan I wouldn't even lay a finger on this stuff, but now after living here for awhile, I love this stuff. read more »

No bowl of ramen is ever complete without either a bowl of gyoza or rice. I mean think about, after finishing off the noodles, what do you do with the soup ?
