I am an English Teacher and aspiring writer living in Tokyo. I left my American home and have no real desire to go back(if you knew what America is like these days you would understand why). I have a taste for vice and a lust for life. I am a man of liberty and a sucker for a good time. I was born and raised in the south. When on a walkabout in Tokyo remember two things; always have a digital camera on hand and never be afraid to explore something which looks odd and out of place. ...

There is a bright shining MoonPie over Tokyo Tonight
Posted by TheGhost on 4 October 2008
I slightly giggle as I begin to write about a food that is about as hillbilly and southern as you can find. A food which is loved by drunk rednecks and truck drivers alike. Yes friends, I am talking about the one and only Moonpie! I know what a lot of you must be thinking, `How does such a redneck ...

Japan tries the McRib
Posted by TheGhost on 2 October 2008
I remember growing up with the idea that the best fast ever created by man was the McRib. All other fast food meals just cannot live up to the taste and legend of the McRib. Usually in the states, the McRib is offered about once or twice a year. Everyone looks forward to McRib time at McDonald`s. I...
