Weezer's new video for the song Pork and Beans features a reference to MiniMoni (subgroup of Morning Musume / members of the Hello! Project) and the dramatic prairie dog, a meme made popular all over thanks to YouTube. It also features a ton of other YouTube stars. Check it out.

There were a few official highlights, one of which (and you may think this strange) for me was the announced Lilo and Stitch Japanese spin off anime series featuring Stitch as he moves from Hawaii (where all the movies and tv episodes have been set so far) to a fictional island in Okinawa!....

A Japan Probe follow-up to an outrageously bad English learning program broadcast Saturday. Where did they find this guy and his obscure English lessons? No wonder Japanese have a complex about never learning the language when they have teachers like this.

Here's a video clip of a TV show in Japan. The older Japanese men have to use English to chat up a young blonde Swedish girl. Hiromi Go's English is impressive, and he wins the girl, too!

Japan it UP! has posted a video of a TV commercial for the PlayStation 3, featuring Gran Turismo 5. The father in the video is amazed by what he's watching and when the daugter suggests he buys it, he thinks she means the "car". He didn't realize that he's been watching a "game".

Yes I did. Although edifices like the skyscraper in Dubai are starting to pop all...I've stayed at the Landmark Tower a couple of times.
