JapanSoc Sumo is a ranking system, where the most active users get more points and rank higher. The highest level possible is the almighty Yokozuna, but you'll need a whopping 10,000 points for that! JapanSoc is all about the community, and although we get together here to vote for and comment on Japan-related articles, we don't do enough bonding! Hi Everyone, JapanSoc is a great site and getting more more traffic everyday. Nevertheless, I think we should consider unite together to promote our sites in other social news sites.

I just hacked up a wee XML file that allows people to add a button that allows easy submission of stories from a FeedBurner feed to JapanSoc. Hopefully many blogs adopt it and both publishers and readers can benefit. read more »

I whipped up an OS X widget to display the five most recent top stories AND allow me to submit new stories to JapanSoc directly from my Dashboard.
