Ever wondered what happened to those old Route Master double-decker London buses? Well I've found a couple of them in Gifu prefecture, one retained as a sightseeing bus in Takayama, the other serving as a cafe in Gifu city. Have you spotted a London bus in Japan yet?

With the weekend being only two days long, one needs to make the most of it whenever the opportunity arises. Reiko seized the day by bringing me to a sunflower field not too far from Gifu City in a place called Hashima (羽島), and it's certainly worth the drive if you're in the area.
