If I had an iPhone, I'd get Jim Breen's Japanese Dictionary for it. It's a bit buggy, but if it's anything like the original online dictionary, it would be more useful than the iPhone itself! Tofugu has the details. read more »

Going monolingual is an important step in learning a language. As long as you are looking up words in a -English dictionary, you are thinking in English.
