(Story in Japanese)
Palette Town's 10 year lease with the Tokyo metropolitan government will come to a finish in 2010, possibly spelling the end of popular attractions like Venus Fort, Toyota Mega Web and the famous Odaiba Ferris Wheel.
Apparently the Oedo Onsen Monogatari hot spring resort has a similar agreement, meaning it may also face the same fate.

Luke, this looks like a good read but unfortunately I am unable to read Japanese fluently as I would suspect is the case for many people here. You may want to move your note that the story is in Japanese to the first part of your description so that those who cannot read the article don't get frustrated.

Good point, and thank you for linking to a translated version.
I saw this on the news yesterday morning and wanted to get the word out. Unfortunately it looks like the story is only being covered in Japanese so far!
