In the run up to the Beijing Olympics, the Australian hockey team, the Hockeyroos, have been beaten by Japan! I can't say I'm much of a hockey fan, but this is quite an achievement for Japan considering the Hockeyroos were "declared Australia's Team of the Year five times and were awarded the Best Australian Team at the 2000 Olympic Games by unanimous verdict." Indeed, they've picked up three gold medals from the last four Olympics. So hats off to the Japan ladies team!
