I'm so tempted to vote this onto the front page because I love the original English version and think Deas did a great job with this translation. But, should non-English articles be allowed on JapanSoc? I'm leaning towards "yes", but what do you guys think?

Not doing so would seem...exclusionary.
But I would hope it (this site) does not start getting stuffed with people sharing Kanji tips.
I am obviously bias since I CAN'T READ JAPANESE!!

Whoops - didn't mean to throw a kink in the works. I agree with Hawaiibadboy - you don't want this site to become littered with grammar sites and kanji mneumonics / tips. (But shouldn't the social promotion system kick the spam out fairly easily?) I did mention the link to the original English version...to help out people who might not be able to read. I'll think through it better next time I submit something. (This was partially to test the JapanSoc This! FeedFlare by Ken Y-N that I just enabled on my RSS feed.)
My vote: Yes, allow Japanese content, but discourage trash. (I guess some would see this entry as trash, though. Oh well. I suppose it's for them to decide, right?)

I actually submitted the English version of this from Deas' site on Dec. 20th. Search for it. I called it "Santa Claus - Physically Impossible"
I've decided to vote this up and see what happens. The discussion about whether non-English content should be allowed is worthy of getting some attention anyway.
