Ken Y-N brings us yet another interesting survey this time on 1seg usage in Japan. I would also like to take the time to ask if anyone knows if watching 1seg TV is free or not. I can't figure it out. XD

One Seg is free! There must be some packet charges hidden - you can split screen and it downloads related web pages, for instance, but if you're on a pake-hodai deal it doesn't make much difference.
I suppose I should look up as to whether the official spelling is One Seg, 1 Seg, 1seg, or what...
Yeah, that's what I was wondering about. The relate web page junk. I want to get rid of the split screen and have the TV take up the entire screen, but I haven't figured it out yet. Thanks for the information, Ken!
As far as the official spelling goes I just went with what wikipedia had. It's a pretty interesting subject don't you think?
