I think this article is not about "the Cadillac of Ladies" which in itself is incredibly offensive - it's about a car you loved a lot and which you then compare to a woman. BIG difference.
I'm actually a bit of a car nut. I've read and heard many a comparison of cars to women in beautiful way. Unfortunately at the start of the comparison here it actually does come across as if you are describing a woman in terms of a car and it made my skin crawl, it came across sexist, disrespectful and perverted and I stopped reading the first time for fear of what followed. After I saw Jordan had soc'd it I gave it another go and forced myself to read the whole thing.
It's a real pity that you start the way you do because the last paragraph could have been quite beautiful but it was already ruined for me because of the grossly offensive undertones.

Hmmm...didn't intend for it to be offensive. I apologize.
I just wanted to highlight a car that many Americans recognize, didn't mean for it to be offensive.

Once I was able to finish reading it I didn't think you did.
I used to describe my Honda Prelude with 4WS (also a classic car since they don't make them anymore) as "tucking it's little legs in behind me" when it cornered - so I know the sensation of feeling tender towards a vehicle lol
Maybe the rule of thumb is:
Comparing an inanimate object to a living, breathing creature = complement for inanimate object. Other way round - insult to living breathing creature!
But that's just my opinion of course!

compliment for inanimate object...?
Sometimes inanimate objects are more reliable than living breathing creature...Human would sound nicer.
