Yoshitani's comic-book series is called "Otaryman." The title joins "salaryman" with "otaku" to describe a new breed of office workers in Japan.

I came across eGenki, a new Facebook-style social networking site for Japan. We've seen such sites before, but this one looks very promising. I got an email from the coordinator of a "major Japanese film production" that is needing hundreds of non-Asian background extras for a couple of scenes in early December. There are two scenes with different requirements, but they both pay well and meals are provided. Sounds like fun to me! read more »
