A buddy of mine works in the Japanese branch of a large international fashion magazine. Apparently the fashionista writers and editors are big fans of the "Quarter Pounder", which they believe is some European chain. Despite my friend's repeated protestations, they are quite convinced that Quarter Pounder is not just a McDonalds; it is far more chic and fashionable. I suppose that in a population where such gullible people exist, it's worth it to try and pretend that you're something you're not...

When I was a kid we went on holiday to Northumberland. My brother was into fishing and brought his tackle with him - including his live maggots. Doesn't take much to figure they escaped and invaded the car! Mum was not impressed and he had to strip and clean the car - took him ages. 3 minutes is lightning speed!
