Same here. DBZ is fun and all but I am not a fan of cartoons. This video is a different story. They go all out as a brass band.

I think that the poll was fixed to give a certain outcome. Most Japanese I have talked to really do not have a big problem with visitors and gaijin in general. Although, the Japanese do have a habit of having one thing and doing another.

Hmmm? What do you mean no river nearby? I don't think it's possible to get closer to the Tama River. I've been playing ultimate frisbee a walking distance from Futakotamagawa station for the past five years and it's a really nice station to live by I'd say. It has a large grocery store right in the station, several large department stores with good roof top hangout spots and plenty of restaurants around still (though the cool courtyard was demolished last year). And all of Tokyo is full of country folk, some just dress up in thousand dollar outfits trying to pretend they are in Paris or are Paris.

I used to go to kindergarten graduation ceremonies, and they award prizes to the children who were absent the least in the previous three years. Usually there was one or two who never missed a day... and they got a big round of applause. :neutral:

Yeah, this is false advertising. This isn't fast food. This "fast food" is on a completely different scale than the rest of the world's fast food.

With the way they label things in Japan, I feel that I have been pretty brave at trying the different treats Japan has to offer. Most of the time, I find that they are pretty tasty! I could definitely try this! Too bad that it is too troublesome to go find the place...

I found this very odd when I first starting working in Japan. They act as if taking time off from work due to illness is a really bad thing to do.

Well, if it gives some mom-and-pop shop a little business boost, why not? Don't think I'll be in Fukushima anytime soon, though.
