Spending a bit of time on Japanese forums I was able to find some nice glossy brochures so I am starting to feel a bit better that I will be able to get an iPhone on the 11th July, however I am not convinced it will be a 16gig model, I am sure I will be subject to more bureaucracy before I get my hands on a 16gig iPhone here in Japan.. the whisper on the streets is late July for the 16gig iPhone.

it just drives me crazy, everytime I go to softbank shops and ask they know nothing.. or say they know nothing... come on softbank... give us some info.
It was the same with Windows Vista. There was very little fanfare for it's arrival, and the shops I went to on launch day didn't even have it. Maybe the iPhone will go the way of the Xbox in Japan... or maybe there will be a huge advertising campaign starting next week. Either way, you'll get one eventually I'm sure.
