JapanSoc Sumo is a ranking system, where the most active users get more points and rank higher. The highest level possible is the almighty Yokozuna, but you'll need a whopping 10,000 points for that! There are ten levels to progress through, and the power users are shown in the sidebar, as well as on the Top Users page. You can earn points for nearly everything: submitting a story, voting for a story, adding a story to your list of Favorites, writing a comment, and getting positive votes on comments. What are you waiting for? get into JapanSoc sumo today!

Great idea, and here's a worthless comment to get me up a little in the rankings

This is a really fun idea. I left some constructive criticism on your blog, by the way. Seems like people are already getting into the spirit. Ha ha.

Matigo, you can take my place but not my points. I look funny with man-b**bs anyway! Just kidding, you'll have to fight me for my spot.

Good idea. This method is a much better way to express who the top users are. If you are a active member of the JapanSoc community this method will show it much better.

This seems like an appropriate place to scream "I MADE IT TO YOKOZUNA!!!"
