Creepy old-fashioned paranormal junk science from Tokyo University and how it influences modern day kooks and horror movies. Sweet! I'll have some of that, please.

This sounds like an excellent topic for one of those ever-popular Japanese "documentaries". Last night they had one about a Russian guy who goes to the States, is killed in a car crash, lies dead in a morgue for three days (during which time he spiritually visits the neighbors and uses X-ray vision to discover a baby has a broken arm), and then he comes back to life!

Yeah, yeah, big deal. I did that last week. :-P Seriously, though? You get documentaries on obscure mushy vegetables (which are inevitably delicious) or zombie pediatrician immigrants? What gives with Japanese TV anyway?

When you have TV game shows where people stand to break their bones or end up with concussions, they need those mushy vegetable documentaries to fill the time when the contestants are all in the hospital or at home nursing their injuries. The creepy paranormal stuff is just to balance out the boring food shows.

At least they don't have documentaries about mushy, delicious paranormal things. That could get gross fast. Ha ha.
