Personally, I find this party to be absolute shit. The trains are not a nightclub, but rather they are most important feature of Tokyo and without them life stops. Far be it from me to tell anyone what to do at their house or when they go to a private club, but when you are crowding up the trains and acting like complete idiots just for the simple reason you can, I have to say "Stop and think about what you are doing."
You are literally abusing public utilities as though they are play things. The other thing is that as foreigners in Japan, we are guests. We shouldn't be taking that for granted here and we shouldn't be risking our status here just to act like grunts and piss up the trains for a night. I might sound like a killjoy, but honestly, this is one of the worst ideas ever thought up.

yeah, you're a killjoy and it ain't just gaijin. Almost half of the participants these days are Japanese. It's just a once a year event on one train and usually not even a full train at that so get off your moral high horse, pilgrim.

Meh. Say what you will about the "party" being "almost half-Japanese," you still are making gaijin in general look foolish to the public. I couldn't care less if I am seen as being on a high horse, the point is using the transportation system like this is childish.
I'm not sure where you are from, but I wonder if this sort of thing would take place there. I doubt it.

oh, spare me the "you're making us gaijin look bad!" trite! Your faux rage at something you probably never heard of before this is amusing but a bit sad. Just move along, nothing to see here...

No, no, no. I've been hearing about this and other things (Gaijin smash) from brain dead adult children who have tried to make Japan their adult playground for sometime. Furthermore, don't try to write me off as some Johnny-Come-Lately who doesn't know anything. No faux-rage, just a little bit of common sense and self-respect.
Whether or not you believe you are giving me a bad name in some form or another by gallivanting around like a child on the train with other adult children, rest assured you are. You can't argue against the point that this party is lame and a particularly foolish way to use the excellent transportation system here, so you try to attack my person. Classic ad hom. attack. Good game, sir.
I wonder if anyone will be fiddling with the lighting systems in the cars this year? "Oh come now, its all in good fun!" Sure is! /sarcasm.

yeah, whatever. I don't care. I think you're expending far too much energy on this than is necessary or healthy. Deep breaths...

This kind of thing would occasionally happen in Vancouver during Hallowe'en and, more often than not, two or three cars of the SkyTrain (Vancouver's subway-like system) would end up covered in vomit or otherwise trashed up in the name of "good fun". It's technically not permitted in the city but, since it's but once a year, the police tend to pay more attention to the bigger crimes that take place on that day ... namely the lighting of fireworks too close to trees....
I'm with Jordan on this one. It doesn't matter were a party-goer is from, or whether it's Hallowe'en or not. Parties have their place, and a public transit vehicle isn't one of them.

Yeah, I remember last year, when the police got involved and the 2chan guys got all pissed off because, let's face it, it is a bunch of drunk foreigners acting like assholes.
Way to represent us, guys.
Cause you know, trains are EXACTLY where that should take place. Not Izakayas or anything.
