One of the things I love about Japan is that you don’t have to look very hard to find funny English. It’s all over the place and if you want more of the above than check out a site like Engrish.com

Engrish.com is a great site. I'm so envious they had the "funny English in Japan, on the web" idea before me! As for those cigarettes, it's just a marketing ploy. They still stink. It's like Abtronic and weight loss devices which sound great but actually make no difference at all!
