I have been offered Natto many many times and I always turn it down. My mother always said do not eat anything that is rotten. Rotten food will make you sick and might even kill you! I believe her 100%.
Now the Basashi on the other hand it actually really good. Raw horse meat is good eating and it most excellent with beer.
