I recently took a trip to the Tottori Sand Dunes. If you're thinking "wait, what?" you should click through to see the pictures and video I that put together as a recap of the experience. It draws visitors from all over Japan. There's even an enka song about it - which you can see in the post!

The sand dunes are much larger than I expected!
I had a student tell me about this a while back. It looks amazing.
They were pretty darn cool. I have to admit - I was a skeptic before I went. But I'm glad I did! It was really a neat spot. Highly recommended. You can also be way cooler than me and go parasailing or even ride a snowboard down the side of the dune. Very X Games. Maybe next time. Ha ha.
