Tired of crowds and long lines? Japan is full of abandoned places or 'haikyo' as they're called, and if you manage to get there, the only person around will be you.
Izu Sports World in Shizuoka, an abandoned waterpark, is one of the better ones.

Wow these are really eerie. I guess now I know why it was viable for the father in Spirited Away to suggest it was just an old theme park - and why it was so scary!
I always wonder why places like this are just being left to rot. Although, I would not mind camping out at this one. Might be fun to camp out there and get drunk.
