Interesting suggestion that Japan is concerned that the same policies toward Japan that existed when Bill Clinton was president will apply now that Hillary is to be Sec. of State. It will be interesting to watch but I don't think Obama's refusal to meet with Aso before the end of November should be interpreted as anything other than a lesson in not making ridiculous requests.

Well, I have no clue how Obama will treat Japan. He really was not said much about his far east policy. I figure that it will depend on how much support Japanese firms give to help bailout America from its nasty little crisis.

The Dems, under Bill Clinton or any other Dem' president, have never treated Japan favorably. If Obama adopts Bill's approach then Japan will have to take up more responsibility in her own security.
