Personality over policy, attraction over action. This woman is a product of the media... and potentially a U.S president! Oh well, at least she has nice glasses.

I am pretty enthusiastic about the choice of Sarah Palin as VP, and I couldn't disagree with you more. Policy is what makes her so attractive to me - she's a conservative like me. Product of the media? Seriously? Please. They've done everything they can to ruin her and her family for the last 2 weeks. You've got to be kidding.
But she does have cool glasses, no matter your political leaning.

Pretty hard to feel enthusiastic about the election in general, no matter who you support, due to the completely inept, misguided coverage of the media.
Why do they insist on focusing only National Enquirer level digs into the candidates' personal lives, meaningless polls and sound bite gaffes?
Is it so hard to just present their policies, plans as president and political history, and let people make up their mind on their own, based solely on the stuff that actually matters?

Nope, not kidding. You think the RNC didn't know about the skeletons in her closet? Of course they did, and they knew exactly what the media reaction would be. These people don't leave anything to chance. Remember the saying, there's no such thing as bad publicity.
Meanwhile, while Sarah Palin was stealing headlines, President Bush extended the U.S's "national emergency" for another year - allowing him to suspend or amend the constitution under the Continuity of Government rules. That wouldn't have gone down well with the public... had they known about it. Anyway, I've gone off the topic of glasses and into politics. Please bury me!

Man, Luke, I totally agree with that sentiment. But chin up! Hopefully as people stop watching the crappy coverage and stop buying the newspapers, they'll clue in. But yeah, couldn't agree more.

Roger Ebert hates Sarah Palin (not surprising) AND her glasses (surprising!). Here's a quote.
"Palin is a shallow, chirpy person with those vaguely alarming eyeglasses. Now her fans all want a pair. Remember back when women wore glasses that departed their ears in plastic swoops and swirls? My theory is, anyone who wears glasses that look weird is telling me something I don't want to know."
Dang, Robert. That's coooold. And your glasses aren't particularly fashionable, you know. Envy? Hmmm. Ha ha ha. I disagree with him (and 85% of all critics) on most of his movie critiques, and now I disagree with his characterization of Sarah Palin's populist appeal as the "American Idol Candidate." Like I said, doesn't really surprise me.
