Canadian MP Libby Davies also touched on this when she presented a 9/11 petition in Canada's House of Commons on June 10th.

I've already had my say on previous posts like this. To summarize: I don't agree that it was an inside job.

This isn't about "inside jobs", it's about having a full and independent investigation. It's not all about bombs and missing planes you know. For example, the alleged financier of Sept. 11, Pakistani ISI Chief Mahmud Ahmed, was in Washington DC meeting officials from Sept. 4-14. Yet, the 9/11 Commission concluded, "To date, the U.S. government has not been able to determine the origin of the money used for the 9/11 attacks. Ultimately the question is of little practical significance...".
The government has stonewalled any attempted investigation. Lawyer requests for the release of FBI documents have been denied time and time again on the grounds of "national security". That includes the insurance agencies that tried to sue the Saudi government for involvement in 9/11 to get back some of their losses, and currently the airline companies that want to see evidence that proves they should not be held accountable for what happened.
Meanwhile, here in Japan, Fujita is grilling the Japanese government over the lack of a criminal investigation of its own. There were more Japanese people killed on 9/11 than in the Tokyo sarin gas attack, but they accepted the U.S government's explanation without further investigation of their own. Not only that, but they supported and still support the war in Afghanistan with no verified evidence that Afghanistan was involved in 9/11 whatsoever.
I understand that the possibility of government involvement is hard to accept (despite Operation Northwoods), but why is it so wrong to ask questions? Everybody should demand a proper investigation to clear this up once and for all.

Incredible. There's a poll at the bottom of the Japan Times article that asks "Do you believe the official story of the 9/11 attacks?" and as I write this, 87.8% say no.

I find it very it very interesting that most people do not buy into the official story.

Most people who happened to read that story and contribute to the results of the poll. Nowhere near scientific. Obviously, if most people had trouble with the official explanation this movement would not still be a mere movement. Right?
