A Barack Obama "CHANGE" poster was hanging in the front window of a local Shinjuku Japanese-style curry shop. I stopped to wonder if the owners of the shop were showing their support for the candidate or if they were using his poster to promote their curry shop? Google map to shop included.

Haha, nice find. Unfortunately for that curry shop, though, the only thing likely to change is the price of their nan bread. Watch it soar!
What gets me is that a lot of Japanese like Obama but they no little or nothing about his record in Congress or what exactly he stands for. In fact, I don`t think Obama knows exactly what he stands for(the same could be said about McCain).
I heard a smart insight from a political pundit today break it down thusly about McCain and Obama:
*You vote for McCain if you want a president that acts without thinking.
*You vote for Obama if you want a president who thinks without acting.
That is odd. This is the very same place that I had my first taste of naan. Its kind of small, but it is really good.
I must say that I hope Obama will win this November. It will be nice to have a little bit of pride in my country's leader again.

I walked by the curry shop this afternoon and the sign was gone!

But seriously, I was kind of "Wtf, mate?" when Obama changed his mind on FISA though I think it was just some Democratic party political maneuvering.
