Great recap and photos of spending a night on the summit of Jizo-ga-dake at temperatures below -15 degrees in just a bivvy! Some truly stunning (HDR) photos. This person consistently takes the best shots of mountains, landscapes and nature of any photographer I am aware of in Japan.

I remember climbing Fuji once (of three times). It was 30C at the bottom and snowing at the top. I couldn't wait to get back down.
