Sorry but I'm gonna bury this story for being inaccurate - there's not been anything in the news about this suggesting it was just one mean security guard.
I've been out of town for a few days and didn't know you guys had linked to this story.
I suspect that the private security guards working in that area have been instructed that there is to be no photography in or around the buildings which they are supposed to be guarding. As I was in a public place, I feel that I had every right to take photos in that particular location. My point is that companies should not be making the rules for public spaces.
