It could have been worse. Did you see the "holographic interview" on Wolf Blitzer's show November 4th? Despite being told we've never seen anything like it, it sure looked a lot like the message Princess Lehia sent to Obi-wan Kenobi ...
What I mean to say it ... they could have had two holograms "doin' it".
I'm still waiting for the phone number at the bottom of the screen so that we can have someone come to our homes and demonstrate these difficult to understand situations

CNN? I was devoted since it went on air 20+ years ago. But CNN in recent years, and that Larry King humanoid replacement...sigh. I gave up. I'm BBC World 24/7 now.

Blitzer has finally lost it, I reckon - those hologram things were utterly ridiculous and totally unnessary. A good interview requires the interviewer and interviewee to be able to see each other and feed off each other's responses, both verbally and physically. Then again, good interviews are pretty rare these days.

Holograms. I told you Larry King at CNN had been replaced by some non-human entity a few years ago. Try BBC World. I think we still have some time before BBC news succumbs.

BBC seems less willing to sell out to "pop news", unlike their North American counterparts. Aside from an over-abundance of Cricket and Football coverage, they seem to be the best source of news in the English-Speaking world.
That said, if they should go the way of the CNN or MSNBC, then it will be a sad day for everyone. Gone will be the days of meaningful information with enough loose fact to actually have a thoughtful discussion with someone at the local coffee shop

The TBS blue men came back Nov. 10 and 11. In the news reports about the kid buried in the sand. The sand game the kids were playing. The CGI blue men were shown exiting the sand and scooping more sand on the last kid still in the sand. Wait a sec! I explained the scene with one sentence! And TBS needs CGI guys to do it.
