The Times article is really odd to me, while it was clearly...I did a parody of the article...True, that D300 price is not so different fron new. I don't buy the excuse about wanting to save money on hotel rooms. It's no secret (or maybe it is?) that porn in public is really popular! They would've made quite a profit off a McDonald's vid, and never would they have expected anyone to actually call the police! This is Japan! You're supposed to just turn a blind eye... or stand there and watch.
Seriously I think that they've done it only for the publicity. They can't release such a film with McDonald's logo without the company permission. So I think they just pulled a very nice PR stunt. I'm sure that Ms. Shimada will get some interesting job offers now.
