Here's a nice article about a Japanese version of the British magazine, Big Issue, being sold by homeless people in Japan. According to the article, each copy sold earns the homeless recruits 160 yen, and 4,000 yen a day can be earned by selling just 25 copies. Currently the Big Issue has a readership of 29,000 people in Japan. (Thanks to the Japan Times for the original article).
