I stumbled upon this site the other day. I don't know much about Japanese Pop music so it was interesting to see some videos and read some reviews in English. Also I found it shocking that most CDs are 2500-3000 Yen compared to the U.S. price of $10-15 USD. But now I know why you can rent music CDs at Tsutaya.

I do wonder if eating less meat would be good for our...Actually, I think disposable nappies are actually better (by certain measures) when...The only reason why I agree with your comment (as I know you don't even believe in...Just more proof how silly the so-called green movement can be sometimes....Nerima-ku? Japanese CDs are way overpriced. Import CDs are a bit cheaper, but still too much. I can't imagine anybody buying a CD album in Japan except unless you're a big fan of the artist, and as you say, you may as well rent the CD then copy it - not that I would commit such a heinous crime!
I think today's music is all about Satellite radio. I'm a big fan of XM and Sirius back in the U.S. and I hear they have something similar here. Paying $12 a month for unlimited commercial free music is a good deal, and much better than buying CDs or even songs through iTunes. What's great are the newer smaller portable XM Radio players.
