Unless you happen to be some sort of linguistic genius, a talented musician, or some unfair combination of the two, chances are you will have trouble learning a new language and the little nuances required for accent-free pronunciation. This is where SuperMemo fills the need.
There’s just one problem, though: there’s no point buying a licence. After paying your $20, you'll never hear another word from the developers.

Buyer beware! Don't buy SuperMemo!
I use anki. It seems to work just fine and is free. ;-)
That's too bad. I know of a few people that have used SuperMemo for quite a long time. I use anki as well. This is actually the first SRS I tried and it works great for me.
I'd be happy to use something like Anki ... but it's only for bigger computers. I liked the premise behind SuperMemo because it let me learn while on the go.
Perhaps I'll take a look at porting Anki to Windows Mobile.... **adds to list of things to do**
Actually, you can use Anki on a palmpilot as well. :-) I just bought one for that very purpose. I don't know if you could use it on Windows Mobile, but it might be worth a shot buddy.

Ah, I tossed my Palm after the company's CEO told his customers that we didn't want WiFi and that the Palm didn't need more expansion options.
It's a shame, too ... I had written some really cool software for that platform.
Either way, if it comes right down to it, I'll develop my own memory software to run on Windows Mobile. I just need to be sure it's done after the release of Embink :)
