Terrific link; thank you! I thought I was doing great until I realized I had it on the Level 4 setting. That would be fine but I'm supposed to be taking Level 3 next month. Yikes!

I went ahead and made the text to choose the level a bit more noticeable. Thanks for the heads up, I'm sure there are probably many other people out there who had the same problem!

Great site! I am planning on taking it in December, and after flipping through some of the flashcards, realized that I really need to study!
One complaint: when I turn off the hints, I found that I got "9" wrong. There are two cards for "9", one for the short pronunciation and one for the long. I don't know which is which unless I hit the "hint" link.
Maybe at a comment field into your database separate from hint field, and display that just above the hint field? That would give a quick visual cue about which card you have displayed.

Yes, at the moment, some of the definitions are a bit vague . I'm working on adding example sentences (that you can see even if you hide the definitions) so it'll be a bit more clear as to which word the system is asking for.
