I have to agree with the part about drinking mugi-cha. There is nothing as refreshing as mugi-cha on a hot day. Nothing.

This is a "lower gear"??? Yowzer I'm glad I'm not working while I'm here! Visit Townsville in Australia which has similar Summer whether - now THAT is a lower gear lol!!

My advice for staying cool:
for the love of Buddha stop wearing jeans and cotton shirts!
Anytime someone tells me they are hot, and I see they are wearing jeans and a cotton shirt, I just say, "ummm, your clothes are making you at least 20% hotter than you need to be," then point out the ultralight, Coolmax-type clothes I wear in all seasons except winter.
