Hi Everyone, JapanSoc is a great site and getting more more traffic everyday. Nevertheless, I think we should consider unite together to promote our sites in other social news sites.
I thought about recommending everyone stories in sites like StumbleUpon or Digg, to get better exposure to new visitors.
I would love to hear what you think. We can do this by sharing the usernames in the comments below.

JapanSoc is a social bookmarking site for Japan-related news and stories.
Ooh another sight to add to my ever-growing list for September! :D...The things people will buy these days....Wow! I might try to check it out on Monday....I saw some footage of demonstrators and police clashing in Korea and thought it was...Oh no! There goes To-ki-yoh! Go, Go, Godzilla!

StumbleUpon is a great traffic generator, since every story you submit appears when one of your friends do a stumble. The numbers are amazing.

NEW! I've added fields for Digg and StumbleUpon on your JapanSoc profile pages. If you want to use them, go into your profile page, find and click the "Modify" button. Then you can enter your Digg and StumbleUpon usernames for the world to see. Look at my profile for an example.
I've added mine to the profile! Also, you might want to follow the Google Friend Connect thing that's on the horizon. If they open up a beta, we could get in on that too.
Nice tip, and one to look out for. Having one main profile for all social sites, as well as blogs, is definitely the way things are heading. I just hope I can keep JapanSoc up-to-date with all this new technology...

I never got how to use stumbleupon :(
Mike it's easy. Sign up for an account and install the stumble upon toolbar. Then when you visit a site that you like you give it a thumbs up. You can even stumble your own content but you have to be selective as SU will not let you stumble too much from any one site.
A stumble that catches on is good for at least 100 page views or more and will expose new users to your site that may not have found it otherwise. It's a good way to help your friends and they will return the favor.
