Japanese views on Chinese products from foodstuffs to electronics

What do the Japanese think of Chinese-made items? A timely and relevant survey given the recent gyoza kerfuffle.

I don't think it's possible and I'm probably too lazy anyway! For the most part I haven't been too concerned but first toothpaste and now this - it makes one think. I sure hope it's just some disgruntled worker on an assembly line somewhere and these are isolated incidents that get blown out of proportion by the media.

I just thought the Kanji would be good to know. I wonder how foreigners with food allergies get by in Japan if they can't read Kanji? Just a thought...
