I think that most of Japan's green policies are political in nature, and basically more feel-good than effective. But that's me.

Screw the green movement and all of its BS. I agree we should take better care of the planet, but the huge companies are doing nothing but making more profits. They make more profits because they can spend less money on plastic bags and chopsticks. The less you use the more money they make. The whole green movement is all about making money.
