I second that emotion. I added myself and voted for the blogs I felt familiar enough with to have a valid opinion about.

Thanks, guys. I just want to say that there are plenty of blogs out there that should be listed, some likely pretty high in the technorati rankings, but I'm hoping that people will just submit their blogs rather than me having to search for them. So, please let anyone you know with a Japan-related blog about JapanBlogger and I'll be happy to add their sites if they want me to.

Did you know you can comment on JapanBlogger.net? Clicking on each picture will take you to the chosen site, but clicking on the titles keeps you on JapanBlogger, so you can leave a comment.
This could actually be quite valuable, as people might start discussing the pros and cons of your own site. For example, at the moment JapanToday has scored a lowly 1 out of 5. Why? JapanBlogger is the perfect forum to praise the sites we love, or rip in to those we don't!

I don't care for Japan Today because they don't source their stories or offer links to more information so it's hard to tell if it's reliable or just rumor. But it wasn't me that gave them the 1 - I didn't vote

That's right, Nick. Thanks for pointing that out. Comments can be anonymous if you prefer, so go ahead and rip into someone's site.
Comments are good because they can help readers decide which sites they want to visit. I've also got the thumbnails set up so the site you click on will open up in a different window. This makes it easy for me to browse the blogs. I just open up the blog I want to look at in a different window, read it a bit, and then close it, taking me right back to JapanBlogger to browse other blogs.

I've added a bunch of new sites this week and they need ratings. Also, I'm going to make site navigation by category available by the weekend.

TIP: If you have a blog about Japan, consider using the JapanBlogger rss feed as a dynamic blogroll. I'm doing just that on the JCB (http://blog.japansoc.com/) and on LongCountdown (http://www.longcountdown.com). You'll always have the highet ranked sites on JapanBlogger show in your blogroll. I'm using the top 10 on the JCB and the top 20 on LongCountdown.
Correction: It's not dynamic after all. Billy is updating it by hand every month.
