I cracked up when his swollen foot was bitten by mosquito! That must itch like mad, wrapped up in a plaster cast. Poor bloke.

I felt sorry for him too, but that was hilarious.
I've only ever broken my collar bone before and for that I had my arm in a sling, I really wanted a cast so all my friends at school could sign it
The closest I've been to having a cast is when I had my big toe wrapped up in bandages. That itched like mad for days.

Great story! Of course, you poor, poor thing but so funny! Is there no situation in which the Japanese think is inappropriate to take photos?!!

I'd be fashioning bits of wire together to try and wedge into that dadgum plaster if I was Tom. Holy cow that must be torture! (Tom's a really cool dude, by the way - teaching in my prefecture.)

I turned off the spam killer for penalizing non-spammers. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I broke two fingers on my left hand and had them in a plaster cast. The problem was, whenever I was driving and turned the steering wheel, I turned on the windscreen wipers!

I broke the middle finger on my writing (left) hand and in addition to the cast I had a metal support extending beyond it to hold the finger in the correct position. It literally looked like I was giving everyone "the finger" whenever I held up my hand for six weeks.
