If dog owners are a "growing niche market", then what are parents, a "dying fad"? Either way, I think this is a great marketing ploy by the big car manufacturers. Pets are far more economically friendly and self-sufficient than human babies, and that can only mean one thing... more poop!

Unfortunately, yes, parents seem to be a "dying fad." Why else would we see the advent of the New Angel Plan, Baby Drop Boxes, etc.?
And won't there be more poop in any event anyway? Especially if we're talking about avoiding diaper cleanup... Remember, fewer babies, but loads of old people wearing Depends. Eeew.

I love the "Anti-nose print" windows that Honda is pushing. My own dog would not like that as she gets such a kick out of sniffing her reflection!

I'm surprised that all the old geezer politicians (most of them are, right) aren't rallying around stuff like this and calling for more babies. The reaction Yanagisawa got for the baby-machine comments really scared the rest of the codgers off.
