Japan continues its "Yokoso Japan" campaign with the post office issuing stamps promoting Japan to foreigners. However, these stamps seem more targeted to the Japanese than foreigners since they cost only 80 yen, which is too low for overseas-bound mail, and there's no English or other language on the stamps either. Some might argue that the whole Welcome to Japan campaign is designed to make the Japanese feel good about their own country, and not to invite foreigners at all! Debito has the whole story, and the comments are worth reading, too.
