There was a time when Japan was gaga for all things western, but in recent years that fascination has turned to Korea, and now India. If you look at the best-sellers in a Japanese bookstore, you might well see a few books teaching kids mathematics, the Indian way. As far as Japan is concerned, India is the world's leader in math education and you know what that means? Move over English teachers, Indian math teachers are ready to take Japanese education by storm!
